Hibs player ratings v Ross County as Jackson Irvine pulls strings in crucial win

Ofir Marciano - 7

Perhaps should have done better with the Ross County opener, but more than made up for it with a superb double save in the second half.

Ryan Porteous - 7

Went wandering a little bit for McKay's goal, but was excellent in the closing stages, winning a number of key fouls.

Paul Hanlon - 6

Did really well to get the ball back across goal for Nisbet to net the Hibs winner.

Paul McGinn - 5

A generally solid display, but like Porteous and Marciano, perhaps should have been more alert to the danger for the County goal.

Josh Doig - 6

Boundless energy up and down the pitch from the Easter Roasd youngster, who looked to be limping slightly when he came off for Lewis Stevenson.

Chris Cadden - 5

Squandered a phenomenal chance in the opening ten minutes before being replaced after the break.

Alex Gogic - 5

Harshly booked early on which limited his involvement, but generally solid in the middle of the pitch.

Joe Newell - 5

Some neat passing and able to stick a foot in when necessary, but not a standout performance of which he is capable.

Jackson Irvine - 8

Excellent in the centre of the pitch with his range of passing and willingness to move the ball forward. If he is willing to stay for longer, he could be a coup.

Martin Boyle - 7

Tormented the Staggies' back line for much of the afternoon. Great penalty after missing against Hamilton, but went over very easily.

Christian Doidge - 6

Worked his socks off up front. Off target against Motherwell, but probably earned a goal today on workrate alone. it will come.

Subs

Kevin Nisbet - 7

Attitude was spot on off the bench. You could see the confidence flowing through him after his goal.

Lewis Stevenson - 4

Generally solid after coming to replace Doig and shored up the back line well

Darren McGregor - 2

On with two minutes to go, but kept things organised.
