Hibs player ratings v Aberdeen as electric Martin Boyle fires Easter Road side clear of Dons

Ofir Marciano - 8

Made a good stop to deny Ross McCrorie in the first half, but bar coming to claim a few crosses, had precious little to do in the second.

Paul McGinn - 6

A solid enough performance in which he dealt with Aberdeen's wide men well. Also tried a shot from 30 yards in the first half.

Darren McGregor - 7

Outstanding yet again in leading the back line. Made one small error in allowing Fraser Hornby in behind, but recovered with a brilliantly timed challenge.

Paul Hanlon - 7

Much improved in his past three games since being dropped against Rangers, possibly benefited from competition.

Chris Cadden - 6

Full of energy and kept going right until the final whistle, but may have done better with his opportunity early on.

Josh Doig - 6

Decision making was questionable at times, but still dug in until being replaced by Stevenson.

Alex Gogic - 7

Looking far more like the Gogic that started the started the season and helped Hibs win a tightly contested midfield battle.

Jackson Irvine - 8

Strolled around the pitch with unerring confidence and provided two superb through balls that deserved better finishes.

Martin Boyle - 9

Two goals, the first home penalty scorer at Easter Road in a year and a man of the match display. This is the Martin Boyle Jack Ross has been missing over the past few months.

Jamie Murphy - 7

Two penalties won in two games and gave the Dons back line a torrid time with clever passing and movement.

Christian Doidge - 6

Didn't get much change out of the visitors' rearguard, but put himself about a bit and may have had a goal on another day.

Subs:

Kyle Magennis - 5

Came on to see the game out and did so well.

Lewis Stevenson - 7

An assist with his first touch in his 501st appearance - player.

Melker Hallberg - 4

A few nice touches off the bench.

Kevin Nisbet - 3

On as a late sub and little time to make an impact.
