Hibs player ratings as Martin Boyle shines and strikers find the target v Stranraer

It was a straightforward afternoon for Hibs as they booked their place in the Scottish Cup quarter-finals with a 4-0 win at Stranraer.

Christian Doidge opened the scoring before strake partner Kevin Nisbet doubled the advantage with a deflected free-kick.

Martin Boyle then took over, slamming home a third before burying a spot-kick to put daylight between Jack Ross' team and their opponents.

Here's how they rated out of ten.

Matt Macey: Almost nothing to do but produced a fine stop late on to preserve the clean sheet. 7

Paul McGinn: Unlucky not to open the scoring and was a threat down the right behind Boyle. 7

Ryan Porteous: Strolled it defensively and reacted quickly to win the penalty. 7

Paul Hanlon: Similar display to Porteous, just a bit less involved at the other end. 6

Martin Boyle: A constant threat and would have had several assists if Hibs had taken their chances. Deserved his two goals. 9

Josh Doig: Got down the left hand side to good effect before getting a breather. 7

Joe Newell: Kept possession ticking over nicely, decent deliveries. 6

Jackson Irvine: A bit quieter than in recent weeks but made his presence felt when needed. 6

Kyle Magennis: Unlucky not to score after the break, neat enough display. 6

Kevin Nisbet: Didn't look like being his day in front of goal before enjoying a slice of luck. 6

Christian Doidge: Got the all-important opener and was unfortunate not to add to his tally. 7

Subs

Drey Wright: Not much of an impact. 3

Lewis Stevenson: Replaced Doig and kept it simple. 4

Malker Hallberg: Ensured Hibs kept their discipline in midfield. 4
