Hibs player ratings as Kevin Nisbet gives Rangers a late scare at Ibrox

Despite an okay performance, Hibs left themselves too much to do to take anything from Ibrox.

Goals in either half from Joe Aribo and Ryan Kent had Rangers 2-0 up and seemingly comfortable before Kevin Nisbet made things interesting with a late header.

Jack Ross' team never really looked like equalising after that, but will be rueing three good chances missed in the lead up to half-time with the score still at 1-0.

Here's how they rated out of ten.

Ofir Marciano: Great double sabe before the first nut helpless to do much about either strike. 7

Paul McGinn: Solid enough defensively and put in a great ball for Nisbet's goal. 7

Paul Hanlon: Wasn't caused too many problems but maybe should have done better with first half header. 7

Ryan Porteous: Kept Morelos quiet and played out under pressure well. 7

Martin Boyle: Forced a good save from McGregor and caused Rangers problems. 7

Josh Doig: Wasn't able to get forward as much as he would've liked. 6

Alex Gogic: One wayward shot and plenty of effort but not much of an effect on the game. 6

Joe Newell: Passing was good but less prominent after the break. 6

Jackson Irvine: Passing in the first half was good and created chances. Quieter after the break. 6

Kevin Nisbet: Went close in the first half and remained a threat before scoring. 8

Christian Doidge: A tough shift up top for the Welshman who didn't get much service. 5

Subs

Chris Cadden: Tried to impact the game going forward. 4

Kyle Magennis: Little time. 3

Melker Hallberg: Came on and got stuck in. 4
