Hibs owner Ron Gordon elected to the SPFL Board for the 2021/22 season

Hibs owner Ron Gordon has been elected to the SPFL Board for the forthcoming season.

Following Tuesday's AGM, Gordon's appointment has been given the green light to join other newly-elected members in an overhaul from the last campaign.

The Easter Road chief joins alongside Rangers chief executive Stewart Robertson, James MacDonald of Ross County, Les Gray of Hamilton Accies, Dunfermline's Ross McArthur, Alastair Donald of Forfar Athletic and Airdrie's Paul Hetherington.

The SPFL board includes three representatives from the Premiership, two from the Championship and two from League 1 and League 2.

They will be on it alongside SPFL chief executive Neil Doncaster, chairman Murdoch MacLennan and independent non-executive director Karyn McCluskey.

Last season’s board representatives Steve Brown (St Johnstone), Peter Lawwell (Celtic), Ewen Cameron (Alloa Athletic), Ken Ferguson (Brechin City) have not been elected again.

Gray and McArthur have been re-elected after serving during the previous campaign.
