Hibs line up v Dundee United revealed as Jack Ross makes two changes to starting XI

Jack Ross has named his team for Hibernian's clash with Dundee United at Easter Road.

The men in green and white have not completed back to back wins over the Tangerines since 2006, but can move second in the Scottish Premiership standings with a victory over Micky Mellon's side.

Striker Kevin Nisbet returns after being left out of the team that scraped past Alloa Athletic in Tuesday's Betfred Cup quarter-final win with a slight muscle injury picked up in the 4-0 thrashing of Hamilton Accies last weekend.

Winger Jamie Murphy is still nursing a hamstring injury, but midfielder Alex Gogic is back among the subs.

It means Ross makes two changes from the side that won at the Indodrill Stadium in midweek, with Jamie Gullan dropping back onto the bench in place of Nisbet and Kyle Magennis in for Drey Wright.

The starting XI is as follows: Marciano, McGinn, Porteous, Hanlon (C), Stevenson, Magennis, Hallberg, Newell, Boyle, Doidge, Nisbet

Subs: Barnes, Gray, McGregor, Doig, Gogic, Wright, S. McGinn, Gullan, Bradley

The visitors are winless away from home in the league since August and their coronavirus-hit squad suffered a 2-0 reverse at Livingston on their last trip away from Tannadice without their manager in the dugout.

Mellon was back on the sidelines for the narrow 2-1 loss at home to Rangers last weekend however, while talisman Lawrence Shankland arrives at Easter Road with a good scoring record against the hosts.

Dundee United: Siegrist, Smith, Connolly, Reynolds, McNulty, Clark, Edwards, Robson, Butcher, Shankland, Fuchs

Subs: Deniz, Sporle, Powers, McMullan, Pawlett, Bolton, Harkes, Appere, Neilson
