Hibs learn Premier Sports Cup quarter-final opponents after dispatching Kilmarnock

Hibs will play Dundee United in the quarter finals of the Premier Sports Cup.

Jack Ross' side booked their spot in the draw for the last eight with a 2-0 win over Kilmarnock at Easter Road.

Kyle Magennis broke the deadlock in the second half with his fourth goal in five games. This came after Killie had come close to taking the lead before the break when Liam Polworth rattled the underside of the bar.

And the win was made safe when Kevin Nisbet out the game beyond the Championship side with a second for Hibs.

Their reward for seeing off Tommy Wright's men is an away tie against Tam Courts' men.

United just made it into the draw and no more, beating Ayr United on penalties at Somerset Park on Saturday.

The game will be played in the midweek of 21/22 September.
