Hibs injury update as Murphy and Wright train ahead of Hearts clash but no sign of Stevenson

Wing duo Jamie Murphy and Drey Wright have returned to Hibernian training ahead of this weekend's Scottish Cup semi-final showdown with Hearts at Hampden.

The pair have been missing from Hibs ' Premiership meetings with Ross County and Kilmarnock respectively after picking up injuries in Betfred Cup action, though the Easter Road side were 'optimistic' about having them back for the Capital clash in Glasgow.

However, full back Lewis Stevenson was nowhere to been seen in the latest images from East Mains as Jack Ross and John Potter put the squad through their paces ahead of Saturday's head-to-head with their Edinburgh rivals.

Stevenson limped off at half-time in the 1-0 win at Rugby Park and made the return journey to Edinburgh in a protective boot, but it has been feared the injury could be slightly worse than originally anticipated.

The defender was not present as Hibs trained on Thursday, leaving Ross with little option but to field teenage defender Josh Doig for his maiden Hampden appearance.

Murphy was replaced in the second half of the win over Brora Rangers while Wright went off at the break of the 2-1 victory at Cove Rangers three days later.

Both have been unavailable since, however they could return in time to face Robbie Neilson's side in the rescheduled fixture.

Speaking after the win in Ayrshire, Ross admitted having just one of the wing pair back would be a massive boost to Hibs' hopes of a result, adding: "I'm hopeful, we hope that them not being available [for Kilmarnock] has given them an opportunity. I'd like to think we'll have at least one of them back if not both, we'll have to see how the week progresses.

"I would be confident going into the game we would have a few more options."
