Hibs in line for John McGinn windfall as Liverpool ‘consider move’ for Scotland star

Hibs could earn a massive chunk of cash this summer with Liverpool reportedly interested in signing John McGinn.

The former Easter Road midfielder has been impressive for Aston Villa since moving south and has been a key player for Scotland at Euro 2020 too.

And he could join international team-mate Andy Robertson at Anfield after they reportedly stepped up their interest in him ahead of a summer move.

The Sunday Post report that he is being watched closely by Liverpool while Manchester United are also keen on him but are yet to make any move.

And that could result in Hibs getting a huge financial boost if he is sold with a sell-on clause inserted into the deal that saw him join Aston Villa.

Jack Ross' men would receive between 10 and 15 percent of the fee which could result in anything up to £5m with a reported £50m price tag on the battling midfielder.

A chunk of that would also go to St Mirren as part of the deal that took him to Hibs in the first place but it would still be a huge windfall for Hibs.
