Hibs fans in frenzied Hearts ticket rush as Edinburgh derby cracker sells out

Scottish Premiership leaders Hibs will be backed by a full stand of fans, after the club sold their full allocation for the upcoming match against Hearts.

Tickets went on sale on Friday morning for Hibees and the allocation in the Roseburn stand was sold out after just 45 minutes.

Jack Ross ' side travel to Tynecastle after the international break in a top of the league clash between first and second.

Both Hibs and Hearts have started the campaign in fine form and sit first and second in the league table respectively.

The two sides are locked on 10 points after four matches this campaign, with Hibs in first position with their superior goal difference.

The match will see Robbie Neilson also backed by a full capacity of Hearts fans, leading to the mouth watering tie to be a sell-out.

It is the first Edinburgh derby in the league at Tynecastle since Hearts' return to the Scottish Premiership following their Scottish Championship title victory last campaign.

Hearts were the most recent victors against Hibs in the last match played between the two sides, as the Jambos won 2-1 in extra time in the Scottish Cup semi-final, in October 2020.

The last league meeting between the two sides at Tynecastle which saw victory for those in green and white.

Martin Boyle scored a double that day as a dismal Hearts side endured a torrid season.

The match is set to take place a week on Sunday with a 12 noon kick-off time.
