Daniel Mackay was in the thick of the action as he had a major influence on his full Scotland Under 21s debut.
The former Inverness winger joined Hibs in a six-figure switch from Inverness CT last month.
And he gave a glimpse of what he can bring to Jack Ross ’ squad as the young Scots beat Northern Ireland 3-2 at Dumbarton.
Mackay played the full 90 minutes and was involved in two of Scotland’s goals, as well as missing three good chances himself.
He stole possession from visiting ‘keeper Dermott Mee early doors but was unable to put the ball into the empty net.
Mee then saved in a one-on-one situation after his poor kick out presented Mackay with the chance.
A Mackay corner then led to Scotland’s opener as Tom Clayton found the net on 23 minutes.
Ben Wylie levelled things up before Rangers’ Ben Williamson put the hosts back in front.
Mee then survived another mistake after gifting mackay another chance, but the wide man could only lob the ball over the cross bar.,
Ryan Waide made it 2-2 before Mackay burst into the box and was brought down by Dylan Boyle, allowing Glenn Middleton to succeed where he failed against Hibs at Hampden for St Johnstone and slot hom from 12 yards.
