Hibs can beat Rangers at Ibrox insists Matt Macey as goalkeeper issues confident 'feeling around the club' rallying cry

Matt Macey says Hibs now have the mental strength to go to Ibrox and WIN.

The big keeper will be a key man against champions Rangers on Sunday in their top-of-the-table clash.

And Macey insists the Edinburgh side want all three points to leapfrog Steven Gerrard’s side at the Premiership summit.

The Hibees haven’t won at Ibrox since 2018 but are unbeaten in the league so far this season. And Macey says Jack Ross ’s squad now have the confidence to claim a huge win in Glasgow.

He said: “This is a big test for us on Sunday but we’re all looking forward to it.

“We’ve put ourselves in a really good position this season and we deserve the opportunity to have a go at moving to the top of the league.

“Our mentality is important, we have to believe we can go there and win.

“And there’s no reason why we can’t go and win.

“It’s a feeling around the club that we can do it. Watching the game at Ibrox towards the end of last season, we could have ended up winning that one.

“So we’ve proved we can match these teams, play well and get results regularly – not just as a one-off when they have a bad day.

“There’s a feeling this week amongst us that we can go and do something on Sunday.”
