Hibs and St Johnstone 'target' Hamilton defender

Scottish Cup finalists Hibs and St Johnstone are reportedly interested in signing Hamilton Accies defender Scott McMann.

According to the Scottish Sun both clubs are keen on doing business for the talented left-back.

With Hamilton's relegation to the Championship confirmed on Sunday, the defender may want to stay in a higher division.

The talented 24-year-old wouldn't be cheap, with two years left on his contract, but the New Douglas Park club are unlikely to stand in his way if their valuation is met.

However, Hibs and St Johnstone face competition from English Championship side Millwall, and Nigel Clough, boss of League Two side Mansfield Town, is also believed to have been watching McMann.

McMann has been at Accies since he was 11, broke through from their Academy in April 2013, and has been a first-team regular since returning from a brief loan spell with Clyde in 2016.
