Hibs and Hearts discover Scottish Cup third round opponents as both sides face lower league opposition

Hibs and Hearts have both been handed games against teams further down the leagues than them in the third round of the Scottish Cup.

Hibs have been handed a difficult away tie against a resurged Queen of the South under the stewardship of former Hearts winger Allan Johnston.

Jack Ross will know his men will have to be at their best to get through against the Championship outfit but will be confident of getting through.

Hearts are still waiting to discover who they play in the second round but will be relatively happy with their third round opponents, if they get through.

Camelon and Brora Rangers will play their first round tie this week before Hearts take on the winners, and then Stranraer will visit Tynecastle if they get through.

Robbie Neilson's side have reached the final for the last two years and were so close to lifting the trophy in December after taking Celtic to penalties.

But the Championship outfit struggled in the League Cup this season and were knocked out by Alloa in the second round.
