Hibernian fixture postponed due to Scottish Cup semi-final showdown with Hearts

Hibernian's October league meeting with St Johnstone has been postponed following confirmation of their Scottish Cup clash against Hearts.

The Easter Road side were due to host the Perth outfit on Saturday, October 31 - however that date now clashes with the revised competition calendar.

The Hampden Edinburgh derby was meant to be played back in April but was put on hold due to the widespread shutdown of Scottish football.

That, along with Celtic v Aberdeen, will now take place over the October 31-November 1 weekend after the Scottish FA board confirmed the dates.

The winners of each tie will play each other in the final on Sunday 20 December – bang in the middle of the most hectic period of the season.

It means Hibs ' hosting of St Johnstone will be rescheduled for a later date - which is yet to be confirmed.

Celtic home game against St Mirren and Aberdeen's trip to Hamilton Academical are also to be rearranged as a result of the fixture congestion.
