Hibernian defender has cheeky dig at Steven Gerrard after win over Rangers

Hibernian defender Ryan Porteous couldn't resist a dig at Rangers and former boss Steven Gerrard after Hibs' Premier Sports Cup semi-final win.

Gerrard and Porteous had a rocky relationship during Gerrard's time in Glasgow after several high-profile talking points and red card incidents between the two clubs.

And he was firmly in the Scotland call-up's mind after seeing off Rangers at Hampden to secure a cup final next month.

When asked about his future recently, Gerrard brushed off questions stating: “Do I look happy? Do I look settled? Don’t ask me silly questions then."

When asked about the game on Premier Sports by Emma Dodds, who had issued the original question to Gerrard, Porteous quipped: "Do we look happy? Don't ask silly questions then."

Martin Boyle's hat-trick stole the show as the champions struggled to shift into gear and continued their woes in domestic cup competitions. Scott Arfield's goal proved to be nothing more than a consolation.
