Hibernian 2 Kilmarnock 2: Last minute strike sends Ayrshire side home with a point

A Dario Del Fabro strike in the dying minutes gave Kilmarnock a wonderful point at Easter Road.

His 93rd minute goal after an Alex Bruce strike ensured Angelo Alessio's men fought back from 2-0 down after goals from Christian Doidge and Jason Naismith.

Florian Kamberi had a wonderful chance in the fifth minute from outside the box, but his decent shot was well palmed out by Laurentiu Branescu.

Nine minutes later Hibs had another chance when Joe Newell whipped in a teasing ball, but Vykintas Slivka's header was blocked out well for a corner.

In the 19th minute Christian Doidge opened the scoring when he headered over Branescu, Killie argued for a foul as the Hibs striker appeared to elbow the goalkeeper in the face.

Nine minutes later Hibs could have doubled their lead, but Melker Hallberg's effort was well saved by Branescu who knocked it out for a corner.

In the 32nd minute Doidge should have doubled his money as he ran through on goal, but Branescu this time had his number as his one-on-one shot was well saved by the Romanian.

Alex Bruce had to come to the rescue just before half-time as he cleared a shot off the line after a defensive mix-up from the visitors.

Hibs doubled their lead just minutes into the second-half as a powerful Jason Naismith strike found its way into the roof of the net.

Killie's first golden chance came in the 58th minute when Rory McKenzie picked up the ball in the area, but his effort was well saved.

In the 65th minute it was Killie who pulled one back, a fantastic run from Alex Bruce from a corner led to him smashing the ball home to make it 2-1 after Dario Del Fabro's header was blocked.

Stevie Mallan almost restored Hibs' two-goal lead in the 81st minute when his free-kick was close to eluding Branescu, but the goalkeeper stopped it well sending it out for a corner.

Chris Burke was desperately unlucky not to tap home at the back post in the 85th minute after a wonderful cross from Liam Millar.

Millar had a wonderful chance of his own in the 90th minute at the other side after a Stephen O'Donnell cross.
