HGV ploughs through brick wall in West Lothian town

Emergency services raced to Armadale last night after a HGV left the road and collided with a brick wall.

Police were called to Mill Road in the town at around 6.20pm on Tuesday, 22 November, following reports of a serious incident involving a Co-op lorry.

Fire crews and paramedics are believed to be on the scene. It is currently unknown if there are any injuries.

Images from the scene show multiple fire engines and police vehicles surrounding the smashed vehicle as police have sealed off a section of the road.

Edinburgh Live reports the truck has sustained heavy damage after ploughing cabin first through the wall.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said last night: "Officers were called to a report of a vehicle having struck a wall on Mill Road, Armadale around 6.20pm on Tuesday, 22 November, 2022."
