'Hey, stop it' - shocking video shows youth being attacked in broad daylight

Police are seeking information after an assault at Bristol's harbourside.

A member of the public filmed a group of youths beating up a youngster near the Loyds Ampitheatre in Bristol on the afternoon of June 30.

People could be heard shouting at the gang 'hey, stop it' and 'we are filming' as the attack continued.

The witness posted via social media: "We were down at the docks and caught these five beating up the kid in the shorts near the Loyds Ampitheatre.

"We called the police and spoke to security but they were gone by the time we got around.

"If you could share maybe some will recognise them, our boys go down there skateboarding so it's a worry.

"Thanks all"

The footage shocked several people.

One posted: "This is scary! Anyone who got kids in Bristol please tell them to watch out"

Another said: "Get them back to school"

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Constabulary told Bristol Live: "We were called to reports of an assault off Canons Way, in Bristol, at about 3.15pm on Tuesday 30 June.

“Officers attended but the victim had left the scene.

"Further efforts to identify them, or anyone involved in the incident, have been unsuccessful.

“Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call 101 and give reference 5220143562.”
