There was no escaping VAR during Sunday's Premier League London derby between Tottenham and Chelsea with two big calls during the game - one of which resulted in a straight red card for Heung-min Son.
Chelsea went 1-0 up after 12 minutes through a fine Willian goal, and doubled their lead after VAR overturned a controversial decision by referee Anthony Taylor.
On the stroke of half-time, Tottenham goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga inexplicably decided to try and scissor-kick a ball bouncing into his box rather than catch it, wiping out Marcos Alonso in the process.
Referee Taylor decided to award Tottenham a free-kick, but the decision went to a VAR check - and his decision was overturned, with Willian coverting the resulting penalty to make it 2-0.

With Spurs increasingly frustrated at their inability to get back into the game in the second half, Son was floored by a challenge from Antonio Rudiger - and the South Korean showed his frustration by kicking out at the Chelsea defender.
As the pair tangled, Son appeared to kick out at Rudiger's midriff - and while it was a dramatic reaction from the centre-back, referee Taylor gave the Tottenham star his marching orders following a lengthy VAR check.
Tensions threatened to boil over further as Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga was almost hit by a cup of liquid thrown from the crowd.
