Heung-min Son fronts welcome party as Tottenham squad arrives in South Korea

Tottenham players and staff were met by hordes of fans and a sign-carrying Heung-min Son on Sunday morn as they arrived in South Korea for their summer pre-season tour.

Antonio Conte, his staff and a 28-man squad arrived at the Incheon International airport in Seoul on Sunday, with local hero, and striker, Heung-min Son along with hundreds of fans there to greet them.

Spurs, who are the most popular and most-watched overseas team in South Korea, face Team K League on Wednesday and Sevilla on Saturday. Both Son and So-hyun Cho, the captains of the men’s the women’s South Korea national teams play for the club.

There are four big names missing from Conte’s squad in Giovani Lo Celso, Tanguy Ndombele, Sergio Reguilon and Harry Winks. All four have been told to find new clubs this summer.

New signings Richarlison, Yves Bissouma, Ivan Perisic and Fraser Forster are in the squad, but Clement Lenglet was unable to sort a visa in time so misses out.

Tottenham will head to Glasgow to play Rangers on July 23 before their pre-season exploits conclude against Jose Mourinho’s Roma in Israel on July 30.
