A new store has revealed it is opening very soon in Skegness.
Heron Foods will open on Sea Lane in March while it continues to put the finishing touches on its store.
Roy Burman, who is the manager of the Skegness store, says as many as 20 jobs could be created and also revealed that the company has been eyeing up Ingoldmells for a while.
He said: “Heron Foods has always been looking to open in Ingoldmells. It is always looking to open new stores.
“[It] is a good location we have got. [Herons is] working on it now.”
Jobs for the new store are up for grabs now, with an opening anticipated to be around the midway point of March.
He told Lincolnshire Live : “The store will be opening in March. We have a number of vacancies available.
“Application forms are in store [in the Skegness shop in Lumley Road] now and hopefully will be on this week on our website.”
Councillor Danny Brookes thinks the fact the chain sees the coast as an opportunity can only be a good sign for the area.
He said: “A national firm or any firm bringing jobs to the area has got to be a good thing.
“Skegness on the whole is on the up and people are investing in the town.
“The district council is investing as well.
Councillor Colin Davie, who represents the Ingoldmells Rural Division, added: "All new jobs are welcome and the residents of Ingoldmells will glad a new business is coming into the village.
"I welcome all investment in my area from whoever wishes to make it."
