Staff at a popular St Helens pub have been praised for evacuating customers before the building went up in flames.
Fire crews were called to the Colliers Arms on Pimbo Road on Monday evening at around 6.30pm.
It is believed that a large blaze broke out on the first floor of the property before spreading to the roof a short time later.
Shortly after the fire began, staff at the pub reportedly evacuated all customers to safety and have been praised on social media for their actions.

One woman, who was inside the pub at the time of the fire, posted: "Massive well done to the staff who got us all out safely and without panic."
Hundreds of other customers also took to social media to support the owners and staff and to praise the long-running pub.
