Heroic Dublin Fire Brigade crew help deliver baby on busy motorway as mum gives birth in car

A newborn joined the Dublin Fire Brigade baby club earlier today after a heroic crew delivered the child on the motorway.

The mum gave birth in her car before being transported to hospital.

Emergency services were alerted of the mother in labour by a 999 call.

And the quick-thinking crews sprang into action and helped deliver a happy and healthy newborn!

A DFB tweet read: “Delivered with guidance over the 999 call, the newest #DFBaby was born in mum’s car on the #M1 northbound earlier today.

“FF/Ps from Swords and our AP crew arrived shortly after to assess mum and baby before transport to hospital.

“A speedy delivery on a speedy road. Congrats!”
