Leukaemia survivor Oscar Saxelby-Lee was welcomed back by classmates after having a pioneering treatment overseas.
The six-year-old is now free of the disease after becoming the second child in the world to undergo CAR-T therapy.
Oscar was greeted by delighted pals as parents Olivia Saxelby, 25, and Jamie Lee, 28, drove him past Pitmaston Primary School in Worcester, yesterday.
Olivia said: “This has been the best day of our lives. I could never be prouder of our community. We love you all.”

Headteacher Kate Wilcock said: “This is the icing on the cake. He’s come home, cancer free. It makes it real now to see him in person. It is fantastic.
After a £600,000 crowdfunding campaign, Oscar flew to Singapore for treatment three months ago.

His T-cells, a type of white blood cell, were altered to find and destroy the cancer.
He also had a second bone marrow transplant using his dad’s stem cells. Oscar was diagnosed with cancer in 2018.
A record-breaking 4,855 people queued at his school to find a stem cell donor. He was treated but his cancer returned.
