Hero police dog saves unconscious person during -3C freeze

Police dog Delta saved the day to find a vulnerable missing person.

The alarm was raised after the person disappeared and police deployed a helicopter in a search without success.

But Avon and Somerset Constabulary's Police Dog Unit tweeted: "Following a report of a vulnerable person leaving their address with the intention of harming themselves.

"Officers and police helicopter attended and were unable to find them.

"PD Delta attends and within a short time they were found unconscious in -3 temperatures."
