Hero driver saves life of woman dangling from bridge by parking his lorry underneath

A hero lorry driver has been praised for saving the life of a woman dangling from a motorway bridge today. As thousands of commuters made their way in and out of Dublin a woman was spotted on top of the bridge.

Motorists feared she could have been considering jumping from the structure, reports the Irish Mirror .

In an incredible gesture, a hero truck driver parked underneath in order to prevent her from self-harming.

Keith Dunne, who was man who took the photo, said: "She was going to jump at Naas today but an Artic lorry stooped under her.

"Not all heroes wear capes, it's not a nice time of year to feel like you have to end your life, talk to someone, anybody please."

The driver was praised by the public for his quick-thinking gesture.

One person said: "What a fast thinking and very courageous lorry driver. Well done mate.

"Respect and prayers go out to you. You saved somebody's poor mum, sister, lover, wife, nan or aunty."

A second added: "Very sad times when you contemplate ending your life like this, let’s hope she can get help.

"Also well done to the truck driver who probably saved her life."

A third added: "Well done to the driver, he has saved a life today. Hats off to him."
