Herman Moore honored by NFL Alumni chapter for his Tackle Life Foundation

Former Lions wide receiver Herman Moore has been honored by the Detroit chapter of the NFL Alumni organization for his work with his charitable foundation, Tackle Life.

Moore was named Alumnus of the Year by the local chapter. From the press release:

“Each year, our Board of directors selects a member who exemplifies the chapter’s commitment to excellence on & off the field and in recognition of his dedication to supporting our community through the Tackle Life Foundation.”

Moore was a standout wide receiver for the Lions from 1991-2001, leading the NFL in receptions twice and earning first-team All-Pro honors from 1995-97.

From Moore’s foundation page:

The Tackle Life Foundation is committed to preparing early adolescents (ages 11-14) and middle adolescents (ages 15-18) for the future. We believe these individuals should be given opportunities to succeed in life mentally, nutritionally, recreationally and academically.

Congrats to one of the Lions’ best ambassadors in the community!
