Here's your first look at the Nothing Ear 3 earbuds launching next week

Nothing Ear 3 earbuds in metal charging case.

For the last week, the Nothing brand account has been sharing teaser images of its new Ear 3 earbuds. However, today, Nothing shared the first full image of the earbuds including their charging case.

At first glance, the Ear 3 earbuds look very similar to the Nothing Ear (2) buds that launched back in 2023. The biggest changes appear to be with the charging case.

Nothing has stated that the case is made from recycled anodized aluminum, where the Ear 2 case was made of plastic. Additionally, the new case is getting a microphone dubbed the Super Mic, and a new "talk" button.

The metal is meant to give the earbuds a more durable and premium finish, according to Nothing.

It's unclear what the talk button and Super Mic are actually going to enable. At the time of writing, Nothing hasn't explained what they'll be used for nor has it provided any other technical specs about the new earbuds.

Nothing has been leaning into AI, so it's possible the Talk button could bring up an AI assistant like ChatGPT. Or it could be a remote mic or button to answer calls without pulling out your phone.

Leaker Max Jambor recently posted what looks like a leaked promo video for the earbuds that shows them in advertorial action.

Nothing's teaser images showed off the fine details of the logo, tips and stem, and panini grill marks on the outside. However, the company has been sparse on actual details.

Through its social media accounts, Nothing announced that it would reveal the Ear 3s on September 18, 2025 at 8 am ET.
