With the dust still settling on Liverpool's historic win over Tottenham Hotspur in last month's Champions League final, attentions now turn to the season ahead.
Liverpool's opening league match of the season versus Norwich City is now just over one month away with the Community Shield clash against Manchester City due to take place five days earlier on August 4.
Before then, however, Liverpool must navigate their way through seven pre-season matches starting this Thursday against Tranmere Rovers at Prenton Park.
And while the primary focus will be on conditioning and preparation, it also gifts a chance for restive supporters to catch their heroes and potential stars of the future in action.
The club welcomed sixteen players back to Melwood for preliminary training this past week. Among the group was new Dutch centre-half Sepp van den Berg and players like Joe Gomez, Adam Lallana and Alex Oxlade Chamberlain who were largely absent throughout the 2018/19 season.
