Here’s where Bengals stand in new waiver wire order

The Cincinnati Bengals are now a top team on the waiver wire after a change.

Over the first three weeks of an NFL season, the waiver order is determined by last year’s final records. Entering Week 4, it gets changed to reflect current records.

This means the 0-3 Bengals are tied for fourth behind Denver, Washington and the New York Jets. They’re tied with Miami and Pittsburgh.

Interestingly, the Bengals play Pittsburgh in Week 4 and the AFC East teams later in the season, so the order could see some big shuffles as the season progresses.

Given Cincinnati’s droves of problems at linebacker and the offensive line, they figure to be active again in this manner soon. LaRoy Reynolds, a free agent they signed on September 11, was already getting snaps in Week 3, so more additions could happen soon.
