Here’s when we can expect General Election results in Nottinghamshire

Whether you’re planning an all-nighter on December 12, or thinking of getting up in the middle of the night, you’ll want to know when the election results are due to be announced.

Councils run the counting, usually at leisure centres or town halls, and every election provide an estimated time of announcement.

It is by no means a precise science, and the best guesses can be - and often are - wrong.

There are any number of technicalities or hiccups which can occur which will delay the result from being announced.

There’s also the dreaded recount, in which scenario all time estimates go out of the window.

But we’ve compiled the predicted announcement date for all 11 Nottinghamshire seats.

Nottingham South, North and East are usually among the first to declare, and a result is expected there some time after 2am. They are all counted in the same place.

There’s then likely to be a flurry from around 3am, and by 6am we should know the outcome of all the seats.

Here’s all the Nottinghamshire seats in order of when the results are expected.
