Australia's Ash Barty is one match away from winning the Wimbledon trophy, achieving her childhood dream and breaking a 40-year drought for Australian women's tennis.

The world number 1 goes head to head with Czech player Karolína Plíšková at the women's final late on Saturday night (AEST).

Here's how and where to get down with the Barty party.

What time is the Wimbledon women's final?

Barty is set to take on Plíšková on centre court at Wimbledon at 2:00pm local time, which is 11:00pm Saturday in the eastern states of Australia, 10:30pm in the central time zone and 9:00pm in the west.

So forget about any early Sunday morning plans, particularly if you live in the eastern states.

In Australia, the match will be broadcast on Channel 9 and streamed on Stan Sport.

You can also keep up with every point on the ABC's live blog, which will be kicking off ahead of the match.

Who is favoured to win?

Barty is top seed in the tournament and the number 1 ranked player in the world, so the odds are in her favour.

Both Barty and Plíšková are coming to the final in strong form, each having only dropped one set so far in the tournament.

It's both women's first time in a Wimbledon final.

Barty prepares for 'best experience ever'

After seeing off Angelique Kerber in the semifinal stage, Barty revealed she was now just one match away from a long-held dream.

"Being able to play on a final Saturday here at Wimbledon is going to be just the best experience ever."

She's the first Australian woman to reach a Wimbledon final since Evonne Goolagong Cawley in 1980, and hopes to follow in the Australian great's footsteps by prevailing on the court.

It would be Barty's second win at a grand slam tournament, after taking out the French Open in 2019.
