Here's what the weather is set to be like for Bank Holiday Monday

Families across Wales will be hoping to make the most of tomorrow's bank holiday - the last until August.

But according to the Met Office some parts of Wales will see scattered heavy showers on Monday which could put a dampener on any plans outdoors.

However, forecasters say the afternoon is set to be drier and brighter with sunny spells.

What about the weather in June?

June, though, is looking to be a better prospect than May's mixed bag - if the bookies have anything to say about it, The Mirror reports .

Bookies have slashed the odds on June being the hottest on record with temperatures backed to hit as high as 30C.

Coral said it had taken a flurry of bets over the last 24 hours of this June being the warmest ever.

The record high reached anywhere in the UK is a sky-high 35.6C.

That temperature was hit twice, once in London's Camden in 1957 and again 19 years later in Southampton.

Odds on the record being broken have tumbled to 2-1 from 40-1.
