Here's What's Coming Next Year in Fallout 76

Here's what's being planned for next year. (Credit: Bethesda)

Early this month, the roads to Atlantic City was opened in Fallout 76. Players were treated to new factions and new expeditions. There were even new rewards to earn. If that was exciting, then players should be happy to know that there's more coming.

Jon Rush of Bethesda revealed in a post that the second installment of Atlantic City, dubbed as America's Playground, is coming out in Spring 2024. There's going to be an additional mission where players have to confront none other than the legendary Jersey Devil. Players can look forward to new story driven quests and more areas to explore. It goes without saying that there's a lot of new rewards to earn.

What else is happening next year? Rush went on to say that sometime in 2024, the map is going to be expanded. In particular, it's going to open up southward and deep into the wooded heartland of Shenandoah. This uncharted and once tranquil expanse that lies in the heart of Virginia is bringing a new questline, factions and rewards.

Rush also shared that through next year, they'll be shining a greater light on the game's Seasonal Event. The plan is to run them much more frequently and at the same time offer new rewards. There are also plans to launch new Season Events so players can look out for that.

Another exciting thing to watch out for is the upcoming Fallout TV series which is releasing through Amazon Prime this spring. This episodic series is made possible through a collaboration between Bethesda Games Studios and Kilter Films. The show is going to offer an expanded look at the Fallout universe like never before with new stories and new characters. The excitement actually went up for fans when the first trailer was released in early December.

December Events

While waiting for 2024, players can enjoy the return of Holiday Scorched which is happening from December 19 to January 2. There's also going to be a Double XP & Score event between December 21 and December 25.

Two festive live streams is also happening and these are:

  • Wasteland Theatre Company Presents: A Christmas Carol (90 minute runtime)
    • December 20 at 2:00 pm ET
  • Holiday Hooplah with Special Guests Kenneth Vigue & SkullieFace (2-hour runtime)
    • December 22 at 2:00 pm ET

Fallout 76 is available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
