A snap general election looks set to be called after MPs voted to take control of parliament.
The House of Commons has taken control of Westminster business, meaning MPs have the chance to introduce a law postponing the UK's departure from the European Union .
Prime Minister Boris Johnson was defeated by 328 votes against, with 301 supporting the Government's position.
Mr Johnson, who saw 21 Conservative MPs defy the party by voting for the motion, immediately said he will ask parliament for a snap October election .
Now predictions based on five polls from (Opinium, DeltaPoll, ComRes, Ipsos-MORI, YouGov) from July 24 to 30 compiled by Electoral Calculus indicate three North East Labour MPs would lose their seats to the Conservatives.
The polling data appears to be working in the Conservative favour as a YouGov/Times survey on July 31, a week after Mr Jonson became PM, showed the Conservatives with a double-digit lead over other parties.
It asked 2,066 British adults which party they would vote for if a general election were held the next day to which 32 per cent responded Conservative, 22 per cent Labour, 19 per cent Liberal Democrat, and 8 per cent Green.
