All in all, it sounded like a good first meeting between Laurene Powell Jobs and President Trump.
"He was engaged in our meeting," Powell Jobs, the widow of late Apple (AAPL) founder Steve Jobs, said at the Recode conference Wednesday night. "I didn't know what to expect."
According to Powell Jobs, she and Trump met shortly after his controversial immigration ban was launched in late January. The immigration ban was quickly slammed by most big name companies in tech, ranging from Microsoft (MSFT) to Tesla (TSLA) , as the sector relies heavily on top minds from around the world.
Powell Jobs said Trump proclaimed that he has a "huge heart for dreamers", which prompted her to reply "[then you should] say it publicly."
