Here's what Deepika Padukone told Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan after the success of 'Pathaan' at the box office

Deepika Padukone, who is currently basking in the success of her last release, 'Pathaan', opened up about how she wanted the film to become successful. The actress also revealed what she told Shah Rukh Khan and his wife Gauri Khan after the success of the film at the box office.

In an interview with a news portal, Deepika said that everyone came from the same place of wanting Shah Rukh, who is part of our pop culture, to succeed. But for her, it is also her personal relationship with him that wants the best for him. According to her, she wanted the film to do well for him professionally as well as for his family.

Elaborating further, Deepika told India Today that for a film to succeed, the intention needs to be pure. Deep down, they all wished and prayed that it did well. The actress even told Shah Rukh and Gauri that these are love and blessings that are coming back.

Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film also stars John Abraham, Dimple Kapadia, and Ashutosh Rana. It also featured Salman Khan in a special cameo. 'Pathaan' is the fourth movie in Yash Raj Films' spy universe, following Salman's 'Ek Tha Tiger' and 'Tiger Zinda Hai' and 'War', featuring Hrithik Roshan.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Deepika has a line-up of some very interesting projects in her kitty which include Nag Ashwin's untitled next with Prabhas, 'The Intern' with Amitabh Bachchan and 'Fighter' co-starring Hrithik Roshan in the lead role.
