The Los Angeles Rams are bringing Clay Matthews back to Southern California, agreeing to terms on a two-year deal with the longtime Green Bay Packer. Matthews has a home just minutes from the Rams’ facility, grew up in Los Angeles and played his college ball at the Coliseum with USC, making this a perfect homecoming for him.
He’s only worn one uniform in the NFL with that being Packers green and yellow, but now he’s trading in the ‘G’ on his helmet for horns. The Rams shared a photo of Matthews in their classic throwback uniform and he looks great in blue and yellow.
It hasn’t yet been announced which number Matthews will wear with the Rams, but considering Ramik Wilson – who wore No. 52 last season – is a free agent, it’s pretty much assumed Matthews will continue wearing the number he wore in Green Bay.
