Here’s what Chiefs have planned for Salute to Service game in Week 10

The Kansas City Chiefs Week 10 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars marks the team’s Salute to Service game. As a result, there are a lot of different things going on at the game honoring active military service members and veterans.

This week the team will host United States Army Lieutenant General Milford Beagle as the team’s drum honoree on the GEHA Drum Deck. He’ll get a chance to get the crowd at Arrowhead Stadium all riled up ahead of kickoff. Retired United States Air Force Staff Sergeant Robin Darden will serve as the DiPardo Spirit Leader. In the Lamar Hunt Legacy Seat, the team will honor Dwight Cook, who is a 16-year season ticket holder and retired United States Army officer with over 35 years of service.

Other pregame entertainment includes United States Air Force Staff Sergeant Melissa Griffith singing the national anthem. The Fort Leonard Wood Joint Service Color Guard will present the colors. There will also be a flyover featuring four F-35s from Hill Air Force Base in Utah, which is located 30 miles north of Salt Lake City.

Along with local members of the Marine Corps Combat Logistics Regiment 4 and local representatives of the Marine Corps League, the Chiefs will host their annual Toys for Tots collection at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday. Fans are encouraged to donate new and unwrapped toys for boys and girls up to the age of 15 as they enter the stadium gates. They’ll also be accepting cash and check donations (must be made out to “Toys for Tots”) at these stadium collection points.

This week’s 50/50 raffle benefits various military veterans’ causes across the Kansas City area. Fans who are not at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday can also participate in the Hunt Family Foundation 50/50 Raffle by visiting www.chiefs.com/fans/5050raffle or via the Chiefs Mobile app.
