Here's how you can have your say on plans to extend 30km/h speed limits in Dublin

Plans are in place to extend the 30km/h speed limits throughout the Dublin City Council area.

A public consultation has been launched on the plans which will see the speed limits introduced across the city on a phased basis.

The survey will be open until 22 September 2019 and you can submit your views here.

Current plans will see Part A come into operation on 31 March 2020, Part B on 30 June 2020 and Part C on 30 September 2020.

Here's the areas covered in each part:

Part A - to Fingal County Council boundary

  • Ashtown
  • Finglas East
  • Finglas West
  • Finglas South
  • Ballymun
  • Poppintree
  • Santry
  • Whitehall
  • Glasnevin
  • Parts of Drumcondra
What to do in a collision

Part B - to South Dublin/Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council boundaries

  • Ballyfermot
  • Inchicore
  • Bluebell
  • Terenure
  • Rathgar
  • Clonskeagh
  • Donnybrook
  • Ringsend

Part C - to Fingal County Council boundary

  • Donnycarney
  • Darndale
  • Clongriffin
  • Beaumont
  • Kilmore
  • Parts of Drumcondra

The 30km/h speed limits have been introduced through the Dublin City Council area since April and May 2017.

This will be the fourth phase of the speed limits being introduced.
