Here's how you can have a Christmas party in an iconic Dublin Georgian mansion

Ever dreamt of having a Christmas party in a gorgeous Georgian mansion built in the 1790s?

A Dublin company is offering a unique Christmas dining experience set in a historic mansion along with sustainably sourced food, original theatre, art, music, and some of Ireland’s top performers.

Now in its seventh year, the event will take place in Orlagh Country House, Rathfarnham on December 5, 6, and 7 and is launched by H&G Creations Ltd.

The theme for the BYOB event is Phantasmagoria meaning a sequence of real or imaginary images like that seen in a dream.

Co-organiser Deirdre Young said: “Christmas can be quite a wasteful time of year, lots of packaging and senseless spending so we wanted to create an event that flips that idea on its head.

“This is a purely vegetarian dining experience to make the event more sustainable. Plus all the food will be locally sourced and all decor will be created by our event stylists using recycled goods.”

Organiser Sinead Bailey Kelly said: “It’s not just a Christmas party, it’s a journey within the setting of a Georgian mansion built in 1790 where time stands still.

“Whilst winding down and re-connecting with loved ones, Spooky Beuor will tell the tale of the spirits of Dublin descending upon these very grounds (Orlagh House) they call home leading to centuries of festive jubilance to descend upon the house.”

Tickets for the event are priced at €65 and you can find them here .
