Here's how you can get paid to work for Santa in Lapland - but you need to be quick

After enduring one of the hottest weeks of the year, you can cool down by thinking about the festive season.

If you love Santa then there could be the job for you out there in Lapland.

As we all know, the big jolly man in the red suit needs a lot of help.

Santa is recruiting for helpers but you'll have to be quick - the deadline for applications is July 31.

But all this festivity requires a lot of staff, including rangers, resort assistants and of course, Santa's elves.

According to the job description becoming a Santa Lapland Elf is a 'truly magical task'.

It says: "You will assist Santa Claus to ensure each families visit to Lapland is as special and magical as possible. Elves are only ever seen by our guests as Elves, and not in any other capacity in order to keep the believability.

"This involves character work, endless energy and a love for Christmas magic. You must adhere to the Elf character at all times.

“While portraying your inner elf you will frolic and play with the guests at the airport on arrival, escort the guests to Santa’s cabin for their magical visit, ensure all the presents are wrapped ready for Santa and take part in elf sightings at various locations.

”The successful candidate will have a true love for Christmas and the Santa story as well as a very clear understanding of the importance of teamwork and festive cheers all day every day. “

There are at least 10 jobs on offer.

Another post is that of a Santa Lapland Ranger who will help tourists try to find Father Christmas.

The job description states: “The role of a Santa's Lapland Ranger is a very active one and based outdoors for much of the day.

“Your main responsibilities will be during the guests Search for Santa day, where you will be actively running, participating and encouraging guests to become involved in all the snow and ice activities from ice fishing, sledging, and tandem skiing to husky sled driving.”

Other posts up for grabs include a Santa’s Lapland Character, a Santa’s Lapland Character and a Santa’s Lapland Arctic Circle Centre Leader.
