Here’s how to get free Michelob beer in New York thanks to Brooks Koepka

Back on May 6, Brooks Koepka traveled out to Governor’s Island in New York City and took a 120-yard shot at a green floating in the Hudson River. If he landed the ball on the green in one of his three chances, residents of the Big Apple — the PGA Championship is at Bethpage Black on Long Island — would get a free Michelob Ultra on May 16.

The defending PGA Championship champ did it, and now New Yorkers can celebrate his accomplishment by getting a cold one.

There’s a catch, however: It’s a little complicated to get it if you don’t grab a free Michelob at one of the bars where the offer stands.

First, per PIX 11, here’s a list of the bars offering a free Ultra from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday:

  • Public House NYC – 140 E 41st St.
  • Jack Doyle`s NYC – 240 W 35th St.
  • Pig N Whistle 36th St. – 202 W 36th St.
  • Dewey`s Pub Midtown – 135 W 30th St.

If you don’t go to one of those bars? Here are the instructions on how to qualify for a free beer:

First, only New York City residents qualify. Second, you have to buy a Michelob Ultra six-pack on Thursday and keep your receipt.

Then, you can either text “BROOKS” to 78896 to get a URL to fill out your information and will include a way to upload your receipt. If you want to do it online, this is the URL.

After submitting it, “your $5.00 pre-paid card will be mailed to you within 4-6 weeks.”
