Here's how to apply for the Simplyhealth Great Bristol 10k 2019

Entries to the 2019 Simplyhealth Great Bristol 10k are officially open, after more than 10,000 keen runners conquered the 2018 race today.

The stunning route sees runners take in a number of Bristol landmarks as they make their way around the 6.1 mile course and it is thought around 12,500 people took part in the 2018 race.

Runners are able to enjoy a number of spectacular sights along the reasonably flat course, including Avon Gorge and the Clifton Suspension Bridge, with their spirits undoubtedly lifted by the crowds of people cheering them on every step of the way.

This year we saw runners taking part in a huge variety of fancy dress costumes for a number of good causes, including Bristol charities St Peter's Hospice, Penny Brohn UK and Bristol SANDS.

But one of the best things about the Bristol 10k is the number of brand-new participants taking part each year, with many people signing up for the first time after watching runners in awe and admiration the previous year.

If that's you - and you fancy giving the 2019 race a go - here's how you can get involved...
