Here’s how the last four No. 11 picks graded at Pro Football Focus

The Cincinnati Bengals sit in a good position with the No. 11 pick in the 2019 NFL draft.

As we broke down, No. 11 has featured some superb names over the years, including a ceiling of guys like J.J. Watt. It has also featured a couple of prospects who quickly left the league.

But recent years have been solid for the No. 11 pick — though it has featured only defensive backs, which Bengals fans probably won’t want to hear.

After two slow-to-develop prospects, the New Orleans Saints got their hands on a rookie of the year with Marshon Lattimore. And the Miami Dolphins followed it up with Minkah Fitzpatrick, a lone bright spot on a bad team who picked up a different position as he went.

If the Bengals stand still at No. 11, another top-tier defensive back will probably be there after the top of the order focuses on pass rushers and quarterbacks. It wouldn’t be the worst development in the world, though the Bengals might be happier to get a pass rusher of their own who grades similar to the above.

No matter the position, drafting just outside the top 10 has its perks for teams in various stages of roster building.
