Here's how Scots can have 'special breakfast' with bears at Five Sisters Zoo

Scots animal lovers have the chance to get up close and personal with a special group of bears.

Five Sisters Zoo is hosting Breakfast with the Bears experiences.

The centre in West Calder, West Lothian announced the news on social media on Monday.

Visitors will be able to meet and feed their rescued European brown bears.

A spokesperson from the zoo said: "Be one of the privileged few to meet and feed our rescued European brown bears with our special “Breakfast with the Bears” experience.

"Go behind the scenes with one of our carnivore keepers and spend time getting to know our rescued brown bears.


"This is a truly unforgettable experience.

"It begins at 9am and includes meeting and feeding our bears, behind the scenes access to the bear sanctuary, meeting an expert zookeeper to learn more about our bears, breakfast in the Leaping Lemurs restaurant and admission into the zoo."

There is availability on the following four Saturdays;

April 18

April 25

May 9

May 16

Tickets cost £160 per person.

Participants must be aged 16 or over/
