Here's how one of Nottinghamshire's latest retirement developments might look

It has been named Wisteria Place.

Now, one of Nottinghamshire's latest retirement developments has opened a marketing suite providing a glimpse of how the apartments might look when complete.

The McCarthy and Stone development in Bulcote near Burton Joyce is currently under construction so there is nothing to see on site when it comes to how the apartments will eventually look.

However, the developer has set up a marketing suite for the site in Johnson & Partners Estate Agents office on Main Street, Burton Joyce and can now provide images of how the apartments might look as well as give prices and take reservations.

Louise McKerchar, sales consultant for the development will be at the branch to discuss the layout and specification of the apartments.

Set to welcome its first residents in July 2020, the Wisteria Place Retirement Living development will eventually provide one and two-bedroom apartments for the over 60s.

The firm says that, subject to design agreements, the images here are how the Wisteria Place apartment might look (images are of Louis Arthur Court, a Retirement Living development in North Walsham but should take a simular design theme).

Samantha Watkins, deputy divisional sales and marketing director for McCarthy and Stone, said: "We’re looking forward to welcoming potential residents to our marketing suite in Johnson & Partners.

"We really wanted to be able to meet Bulcote retirees and their families, and discuss the exciting options available at Wisteria Place, so having our sales executives in such a prominent part of the community is fantastic."

The development will feature a communal lounge for socialising with friends, landscaped gardens are planned, an on-site car park, and a guest suite should residents have friends or relatives to stay.

A house manager will take care of the smooth-running of the development; while a security entrance system and 24-hour emergency call points will provide added peace-of-mind.
