If you were one of those people who was tracking how long the Super Bowl 55 national anthem was for betting purposes, you may have found out about the length of The Star-Spangled Banner long before it was performed Sunday by Jazmine Sullivan and Eric Church.
That’s because a reporter filmed himself timing a rehearsal on Friday outside of Raymond James Stadium and shared it with the world on Twitter, which forced sportsbooks to take it off the board or change the odds drastically.
The reporter, Zach Maskavich, timed it at 2:16. And guess what? It ended up being around that at two minutes, 16 seconds.
