The Cincinnati Bengals enter Week 12 against the Tennessee Titans favored on the road by oddsmakers but that’s not totally reflected by experts picking the game.
Those experts, when asked to pick the game straight-up, feature a majority picking the home team.
Based on the polls at NFL Pick Watch, so far 60 percent of the experts pick the Titans to beat the Bengals. That increases to 66 percent when experts picked against the spread.
Those aren’t the most unreasonable numbers in the world, either. The Bengals are a very hot team right now that looks headed for another run similar to last year.
But the Titans are wicked hot too, riding a streak that features wins in seven of their last eight after starting the season 0-2. They have that bruising running game, strong defense, are at home and are one of the most well-coached teams in the league.
Overall, this just speaks to the 50-50 feel of an AFC bout that occurred as recently as the divisional round of the playoffs, which the Bengals won in 19-16 fashion.
Based on the lines and expert picks, it’s safe to expect another close one where neither team seems like a bad pick.
